as we draw closer and closer to one of the important events in our jc life, stop and ponder: what have we done so far?
in p1, we join as really ignorant and innocent overage-toddlers, with people to babysit us. in p4, we become seniors, and start to experience what stress feels like, with streaming(at least in our time). then we slowly grow to handle, and conquer it, as we go on to p6, the senior of the seniors.
in s1, we join as not so innocent but still really ignorant overage-kiddos, with teachers to spoonfeed us. (well maybe just a little) as juniors and still only and truthfully caring about results. in s3, we become seniors. start to think about our future life, our career paths. taught to handle bigger and more important matters, learn interpersonal skills. learning that education aint 100% results and studying, but even less than 50%.(IMO).
in j1s. we become juniors once more, much more mature, much more capable of handling stress and interpersonal relationships(i hope). learn to handle bigger stuff, learn to be more independent. get exposed to all kinds of things, some good, some bad. in j2, we become seniors once more. guiding the juniors, helping them adjust to the hectic jc life asap(at least tat's wat i saw my seniors do), and in the meantime handle ur own hectic but meaningful life.
then we move on to university(army for guys.) become juniors, become mentees, learning once more. the lucky few of us will get to be mentors in the latter stages of our career(officers for some guys), all to nurture the new batch of nation leaders.
life-long learning. wat a concept.
everytime we grow one year older, we thought we knew so much more, but however in fact there was still so much more for us to learn. everytime we became seniors, we thought that was all to it, but soon, we will become juniors, mentees, learning new things once more.
life's learning curve is a peculiar one, kind of like a pendulum bob undergoing simple harmonic motion. sometimes we pick up new knowledge, sometimes we learn interpersonal skills. but whatever it is, the total amount we learn is constant no matter which stage of life we are at.
im grateful for getting this opportunity to learn so much more in the year to come. i know, that i will be able to learn so much from each and everyone of you out there, and i hope i have something to offer to u too. being able to learn is a blessing. learning from one another in school, in the reading room, in the studio, in the RUA, at the class benches, in the streets. being able to learn, is a true blessing.
when i look at the j2s now, i think: that's how im gonna be like next year. and within this 1 year, im going to do something to make me proud of myself. so that when i become the victim of the SES once again, at least i noe, that i have achieved something even under captivity.
with 1/2 year gone, there's 1/2 year left. havent done much yet, but so anticipating the future 1/2 year, about the things im going to learn, the moments we haf fun together, the moments we share our sorrows with one another.
cherish these moments. cherish..

wow. 2 sleepovers in 3 days can kill. especially with trainings, choreography, trainings, and no sleep. AND being broke.
first up was mad sleepover on sat. was a bit lame at first, going to kembangan then leaving after a while, to watch a so-so boty. then gng back to find tat there were so few ppl left. had fun with that few ppl though, talking about INTERESTING stuff throughout the night, watching bboy bridge. certainly fun and nice to do that kind of high and random stuff once in a few weeks.
then was home sweet home, and the bed of cos. back to the mahjong table i went after tat, 6 hours straight... wat a no lifer... hehe. monday was bowling chalet AT SENTOSA. zomg first time there!(shhh secret horss) seeing all e stuff i have never seen before in my entire life. or at least in my memory la. heh. first day was abit lame, with me *dieting*, ITE suffering from gastric at 4am while playing bridge. then playing mahjong in the morning.
oh, then had to go back to school for mad elections results. MAD rush for me, from sentosa, especially when the sensor doesnt sense the stupid card and the intercom-guy is asleep. ugh, ended up being late, but wasnt as late as others.. i think we gotta work on punctuality.
well results half went the way i expected, half went the way i wanted but did not expect but was prepared, and the last half...kinda dont noe but must care. i think there were alot of capable people who ran, and i think a few of them could easily have been chairman/president/captains of other CCAs. cheer up, dont be disappointed!! there'll be many opportunities ahead! dance nite 09, syf etc etc. jiayou all
inspire choreo wasnt anth much to boast about. then house ball comp, where i, uh, did well.. seniors are still imba, hooking the house ball.. zomg man... farewell party after tat was wonderful, the gifts, the plan, the passing down. i hope MAD's would be as good, if not better. jiayou man.
really happy these few days. not because of results, winning money, or whatever materialistic thing u cud think about. its the company, the people that i have spent my time with. 1 family is a blessing. 2 is a godsend. 3 is a miracle. i believe in miracles...(esp in my studies!!)
ok i havent slept for like 48 hours, my temp's gng up. gotta go now.
