we were created with something called the self-defence mechanism. its an amazing thing. but it exemplifies wat a double-edged sword is.
quote 'whatever your purpose in life is, you must be comfortable with it'
i guess i just have to adapt. after all, nothing is suited to you perfectly.

scream 08. fantastic setup, brilliant execution, total commitment, great enjoyment.
really was wowed by the setup and makeup. really v realistic.
on the other hand i didnt think it was very scary. okay, we screamed, but to me it wasnt very scary. prob cos my group for the trail was HUMONGOUS, but it was really fun navigating around. also really helped the class bond =D
although s6c is still quite gender segregated, in hwahcong, its not easy to break the divide. i guess at least we still do things tgt, which is wonderful. we haf outings, e.g. 2nd oct to movies, 18th oct to sentosa. looking forward to 1 more year with this fantastic and fun class =DD

bboying at espy oways gives me inspiration and helps me get moves. bail today, swipe tml, mills day after, airflares in 20 years.
its the only thing that can stop me from thinking. just let my heart out in it, no restrictions, no constraints. the floor is all mine.
but once im out of it, its back to reality. back to letting my thoughts wander.
i dont why, but my memory this year is especially good. every single place i go through every single day brings back memories. mostly pleasant, some hurting, some just plain reflective. its like everything happened yesterday. cliche indeed, but it certainly does, cos all the memories are fresh as subway's tomatoes.
now i think i noe why one day i wish to study overseas.

now i know that the rain just now is for all those who know me.
now i learn that for me, jokes are simply not necessary to make people laugh.
now i know and learn what a false front is all about.
forget promos. this is gonna be worse. forget passing. im not even confident of getting through it.
but im gonna try, for all those who are here now.

"everybody's looking for a something one thing that makes it all complete you'll find it in the strangest places places you never knew it could be
who can deny the joy it brings when you've found that special thing
you'll find it in the words of others
you find it in the deepest friendship the kind you cherish all your life and when you know how much that means you've found that special thing you're flying without wings
so, impossible as they may seem you've got to fight for every dream cos who's to know which one you let go would have made you complete "

forth and back. its the same few people still.
promos are over now, ended 3 days ago. thank goodness. couldnt and wouldnt be able to take more of such torture. pe studio's been THE place to go now, after promos. breaking everyday, even when im not breaking just go there to chill and to watch ppl break and to take a break. i think i learnt more about bboying in this long hiatus and i think we're all improving, which is good.
went to movies on thursday with my classmates after physics paper. watched "House Bunny", which was funny in its own way. then went to see yiting lina wilson and poon get free souvenirs from Levi's. i wanted to stay back and watch the RF perf(it turned out to be a 3on3 battle), and the rest of the class stayed along =D. well it was quite average, considering only mahmud was up to his usual standards, but i hope it was worth ur wait nevertheless. went back to break after that
friday was just. breaking a little bit, then playing chess and watching people play retarded bridge/big2 games, then mahjong. haha the habits die hard mah! was a real tiring day, ended with legs aching like i-dno-wat.
saturday, meeting early in the morning. then intended to rest by coming home early. cudnt resist the temptation to break again though, despite the horrific situation of my leg. well glad i didnt, cos i, for about 15 mins, really bboyed hard, never did so harder. oh, and sorry to "borrow" athena fac comm's place for dance prac again. oopsie haha.
but its sad that before or after promos, its still the same old few people in school. maybe we dont have other activities, but i just dont see the commitment from the rest yet. hope they will show me soon. show everyone that they deserve the space that many eyed. that applies to rest of MAD too. jiayou everybody, this is the 3 months we can probably advance and improve the most. must make good use of the time!
its amazing to me how easily how i get happy. just a simple chat, TCS as i used to call it, doesnt need to be intellectual. just bullshitting around about all the lame stuff, like how we did so on thursday and friday, made my day, no matter how bad things were before that. life's simple, but we tend to make it more complicated, dont we. "we're going to hell, arent we"
during promos we were all just walking past the roll of honour outside the hall, thinking about our paper, most not even taking a glance at the huge boards. today i took a good look at it. those were the people who were tops in the whole singapore, their names looking at us and cheering us on for the papers held in the place they once took it. the list of donators, ever so long, was those that built this campus for which we spend and enjoy almost everyday in, from which we will take our memories away from. and i told myself: one day, im going to be on this wall as well.
"oh, here we are"

randy: yes. it was tough but yes, 2 years indeed. greg: hello! hope ur exams went well! let's all meet up sometime soon! lina: yep thanks. its all over now, whew. *breathes a sigh of relief*

over the past week life's been rather interesting.
daily routine and yearly practice still hasnt changed for me, rushing home after exams to just sleep it away, and then prepare for the next day's paper. you can see in school, though, many people ranting about the paper, just to (hopefully) get it out of their system so they can focus on the next paper. different styles once again.
tat's been the norm even since primary school. but this year's been more than ranting. i've actually seen quite a bit of self-reproaching. they blame themselves for not being able to do well for the paper, or maybe not doing the paper as a whole.
for many, its actually been a year of fun, then realization. not sure what stage it'll go to next, surprise or shock. but many of us had so much fun in the first few months, then come term 3, we're all in the state of realization and understanding the gravity of the situation. they say, its better never than late, of course.
but i just wonder, would this be a case of too little too late? a cliche expression yes, but no doubt it holds true in many cases. seeing people, friends, close friends, not wanting to retain, and blaming themselves for the work, or lack of it, done in the earlier part of the year. keep telling myself i could have done more to help everyone around me (not saying i dont need it myself). but im sure regrets is what we all do not want at the end of this year, or next, or even ever (however inevitable it may be). how many of us can truly look back and say, "heyy i put in my best for the whole year, no regrets if i fail/retain?"
what if we all actually put effort into our work throughout the whole year? unrealistic it may sound, but there are many examples out there of such cases. then we wouldnt be seeing so many hoping they would get promoted, rather many many more confident of getting promoted. but, "what ifs" are such a good excuse isnt it.
tomorrow's the last paper for me, last paper for many more, and last papers for the rest on friday (some already ended le ZZ). it would be all over by then, no point thinking about it anymore. but if you belong to the category listed above, i hope by now you have already known what to do next, regardless of promotion. i hope that you do not retrace your footsteps anymore. because as a friend, it is heartwrenching to see all this going on.
ciao
