there are 365 days in a calendar year. none of them is extra special by itself. the reason why they eventually turn out to be, is because of friends. its the friends and family who are really really special. and on this day, i've my friends and family to thank for being who they are, making today what it was.

shoutouts to MAD, InI, ocip cambodia (all 28!), 08s6c!!, 2k buddies, 4k pals, npcc ppl that have gone through my cadet life with me, joshua ong, my pri sch friend(s), my '08 mortal, and every other person who spent the effort to text or wish verbally. special mentions to the person who prepared the huge card, who bought the cake, to the persons who bought presents. you know who you are =))

and when you have friends like this, nothing else matters. every other thing just becomes trivial.
and that's why im still alive. =)

about a year ago, i made what was to me, a very difficult choice. i believed in my decision-making skills, i wanted to back my decision so i would not regret my decision.

one year on, i know i didnt do my best in backing myself up. i let everyone down, i let myself down. i must admit i was disappointed when results were announced, but a part of me was praying for it to happen, so i could concentrate and commit. and now i just wish everyone the best, and thanks for everything that you've done to accomodate me, and tolerating any inconvenience i caused.

one year on, i look back, wondering if my choice was right. i aimed to fulfil something with this decision. i dont think i've even come near to doing so. i will never come to know if i'll regret this decision, because i wouldnt know how things would go if i chose the other route. im just wondering what should be the basis for making these decisions.

there definitely isnt a right or wrong. one would have given me a brighter future no doubt, one would not do so in any means. such different natures. should i have decided based on my future, or to enjoy myself in these 2 years? after the decision i made, i dont think i was much better off than i was a year ago. such stagnancy does not call for decisions to be made in its favour, does it?

at the end of the day, does everything need to have a purpose?

to end off, i had a great dinner on saturday. chilli crab with pincer size bigger than my fist. 3 bites and im full. first time i ate so full, like in cambodia. a dinner to remember.

wow, its april already. so many things happened in the 3 months that passed.

the year kickstarted with a new year celebration at my house with the usual few. class chalet was the other interesting event before school restarted. then there was the inspirational talk by the beloved mr how on the first day of school, getting to noe our new gp and chem tutors. chinese new year ushered in february, in which there was orientation and campfire and so on, which were still thoroughly enjoyable. and then there was fuyo interschool. we also had cca orientation and j1 auditions soon after. there was angel and mortal as well, with a bbq for stj and catering for jts, both eqully enjoyable. and the first h3 test as well. right, then there was fac dance competition, first choreo review, and then danceworks. a levels results release was around that time as well, then came blocks 1.

exciting and interesting first 3 months. that's 3 months into our j2 life, and the end draws ever closer. the next few months ahead will be kinda cool. lets see how it goes.

how long does it take for a person to learn?
how long will it take for a loser to learn?
